Welcome to the life of Sooho Lee

God is so good. He's so good to me.

121 days. I finished ESV Bible from Genesis 1 to Revelations 22. Thank you God, you alone pushed me and kept reminded me of my commitment. Though I was 31 days over my goal, you still blessed me incredibly.

At the end of my freshmen year in college, I made a commitment to God to follow a Bible in 90 days plan. Unfortunately I was 31 days over. It was also my summer “project”. Brothers and sisters, I loved it. Some days I spent 3-4 hours reading. (But, honestly I could have spent more time because I had so much time during the summer). This tumblog is a testament of God’s faithfulness to discipline me. I finally did it God! He alone disciplined me. He gave me the desire and the will to finish. And in the end, I can only say by His grace alone did I truly read the bible in 121 days. I am sure I can read the Bible less than 121 days (for 13 days I didn’t read much because of Panama missions, to be honest, I was so tired at the end of the day. Sorry God.)

However, this tumblog is not a boasting blog. I want to share my revelations.

1. There has been reoccurring “themes” or truths while I was reading. One of them is this, “God is the first to invite and the last to reject.” This was very strong in the Old Testament, something I couldn’t really find in New Testament (or maybe it was already drilled into my head that I didn’t expect it.) This leads to my next point.

2. Old Testament is beautiful. I had a whole tumblog about the beauty and necessity of the Old Testament. There are so many things I learned from the Old Testament that I didn’t in the New Testament.

3. Old Testament strengthens the truths of New Testament (which are the truth of the Old Testament just restated)

4. God is a covenantal God. God is a promise keeper and a promise fulfiller.

5. The Word of God is Jesus. Don’t you ever say the Word of God has no power. Don’t you ever neglect the Word of God. Don’t you ever deny the Word of God. If you want the New Covenant fulfilled in you, your heart must have His words written on it. Soak yourself in the Word. Honor and give glory to God always.

Lord! You are a faithful God! You are the covenantal God! Thank you for your Goodness and Grace. You are True. You are my beginning and my end. Thank LORD. YHWH be glorified.
